Wolf & Shepherd Men’s Shoes

Every now and then I have the privilege of meeting someone who’s taking a big leap, trying to change how people think about some old stodgy industry. They inspire me to do my work better and to do things that matter.

Justin Schneider of Wolf & Shepherd Shoes is one of those people. Justin was a decathlete at Notre Dame and, when I first talked to him, was working on how to build a better dress shoe, a shoe that you might be able to, well, run a marathon in or something. Pretty audacious, particularly given how generally uncomfortable men’s dress shoes are as a general rule.

I’d check in with him every so often to see how things were going, and it was always the same story. “There are a lot of challenges, things keep blowing up, but I’m going to make it. This WILL happen.”  Sure enough, a few weeks ago a pair of his shoes arrived on my doorstep.

As I expected, Justin went to great lengths to create an amazing experience. The photos below I took as I was taking the shoes out of the box. As you can see, no detail was left undone. They are, without a doubt, the most comfortable shoes I’ve ever put on my feet. The leather is exquisite. The insoles feel like a top of the line running shoe.  Fantastic.

I’ve gotten to the point where I’d rather have one of something really nice than 5 of something mediocre. Justin’s doing amazing work, and if you need dress shoes, you need to buy them from Wolf & Shepherd. If you have any sort of commute or you’re on your feet most of the day, you’re going to feel like a new man in these shoes.

Support Justin and his new company by buying a pair of shoes today. You won’t regret it. Then tell five or 10 of your friends to do the same.
