I Can’t Believe The News Today

There are times in life where events simply make no sense.

Last week a friend of mine had a brother who was going to die from liver disease.  I went to college with both of these guys, and both were complete studs.  So, in a gesture befitting brotherly love, their youngest brother agreed to donate a portion of his liver in order to save the middle one.  The surgery was successful, and from all accounts he is on the road to recovery.

However, the youngest brother developed complications from the surgery and never recovered.  He died today.

How do you explain that?  I just don’t freaking get it.  John 15:13 says “Greater love has no man than this, that he lay down his life for his friends.”  Every now and then you get a glimpse of what’s at stake on a daily basis in life.
