Will the real Obama Please Stand Up, Please Stand Up, Please Stand Up

Two article headlines in my iGoogle news ticker today caught my attention, not because of their content, but because of what seemed to be a direct contradiction by the current President.

The first article’s headline read ‘Obama doesn’t enjoy ‘meddling in private sector’. You can read the article here. It’s sort of a funny headline because, really, that’s all he has done since he took office. Massive spending, taking control of corporations, and corporate welfare have been the order of the day in the first 100 days.

The second headline, which caused me to laugh out loud, was ‘Obama Criticizes Chrysler Lenders, Hedge Funds That ‘Held Out’. You can read the full article here.

Out of one side of the mouth comes ‘I am a friend to the private sector and business. I don’t really want to be involved.’ Out the other side of the mouth comes ‘That is, unless you do something I don’t like or are being one of those greedy capitalists and actually trying to protect your investments’.

I am not surprised at all by any of this. I just find it really, really funny ( oh, and really really sad ).
