August Must-Haves

Each month I’m going to provide a list of resources (podcasts, talks, blog posts, books, music etc.) that I consider to be must-haves. There’s no doubt that you’ll see recurring themes or resources throughout these posts. I publish my Must-Haves on the closest Tuesday or Friday to the 15th of every month.

Here’s my list of August 2016 Must-Haves

• You Are Not a Lottery Ticket – A talk given by Peter Thiel at SXSW a few years back. I like this because it will challenge you to think about not only yourself, but also what you’re spending your life doing, in a simple to understand framework
• Crypto Tokens and the Coming Age of Protocol Innovation – A brief article on the importance of the blockchain as the foundation for an upcoming explosion of new protocols. Important to understand where we’re heading and where new opportunities will present themselves
• I Am Not Your Guru – Documentary of Tony Robbins’ Date with Destiny conference. Whether or not you like Tony Robbins, this documentary will take you behind the scenes at his main event and give you a glimpse into what it’s like to be 100% committed to what you’re working on. He is a force of nature
• Elon Musk’s Master Plan Part Deux – Given how close he got to his last master plan, this one’s worth reading if you haven’t had the chance yet
