I like it when people refer to things as “The Harvard of…”.  I thought I would compile my own list of “The Harvard of…”

Harvard – The Oxford of the US
University of Virginia – The Harvard of the South
Davidson College – The Harvard of the South for those who went to Davidson
Duke – The Harvard of the South for those who could not get into UVA or Davidson
UNC – The Harvard of the South for those who could not get into Duke
NC State – The Harvard of the South for those who could not get into UNC
Wheaton College – The Harvard of Christian Schools ( per CNN )
Shelley – The Harvard of Raleigh, NC wives and moms
My kids school – The Harvard of Raleigh, NC home schools
My master bathroom – The Harvard of master bathrooms
Facebook – The Harvard of social networking apps
IIT – The Harvard of India
Hampden-Sydney – The Harvard of guys in bow-ties ( sorry, Tyler )
