Wolf Boys
I read / watch just about everything I can on the drug war / drug trade. For some reason I have a morbid obsession with the topic.
Wolf Boys is the true story of two boys who are lured into the drug trade at the Laredo border in Texas. Not only is the story very compelling, but the author does a great job of talking about the history of drug production both in South America and Mexico, the historical significance of NAFTA as it relates to the drug trade, and how and why it is progressed to it’s modern day extreme violence.
Excellent, excellent book. Heartbreaking, depressing, but excellent.
